Student visits to the polish Parliament and Orońsko

Seeing up close what the lecturers are talking about, feeling the atmosphere, and listening to new stories – it is worth going beyond the university walls and gaining new knowledge. Members of the student Diplomacy Club of Vistula University have just visited the complex of parliamentary buildings.

The Sejm is the heart of Polish politics, a place where exciting historic events take place every day.  Members of the student Diplomacy Club of Vistula University have recently visited the complex of parliamentary buildings. They listened to several parliamentary speeches in the gallery of the Meeting Hall and met famous politicians. They also learned about the history of Polish parliamentarism and the principles of operation governing the Sejm’s work. They also saw the maces of previous marshals and listened to many interesting stories. The visit was organized by Kamil Mateusz Kuśmider, PhD.

A different place was chosen by first-year students of Graphic Design. They visited the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko together with Jan Jaworski-Brach. It is a meeting place for artists from all sides of the world, collects artworks, implements a programme of exhibitions and research, as well as provides sculptors with assistance in their creative work.

The students saw the exhibition of the Israeli artist Dani Karavan – the author of many monumental, sculptural, and architectural projects around the world, the exhibition of Iwona Rozbiewska “Into the Trapeze” and “The Return of Bread, Water, Honey” by Stanisław Brach. The youth also saw drawings by Professor Gustaw Zemła and the cult object “Ukon” by Magdalena Abakanowicz. Visit to warehouses that are normally closed to the public was the culmination of the trip.

It was an inspiring experience and motivation for creative activities.
